"Red Onion with Pearl Onions"

I just looked up the definition of a pearl Onion. A pearl onion is a type of tree onion grown mostly for pickling as a cocktail onion. Ok, that's interesting.... I bought them because they were a nice contrast to the red onion I just painted with them. The dimensions of this original oil on stretched canvas is 8" wide x 6" high. "Halved Avocado"

"Red Pear"

A lone red pear makes up this original oil on stretched canvas which took me awhile to paint. Had problems painting it's stem in a realistic manner. It's actually a quirky pear which would not stand up so I had to paint it in a reclining pose. Dimensions: 6" x 6". "Arizona Canyon Scene" Painting in progress.....4th revision

The water is starting to flow and I can hear birds singing in the distance as I paint this landscape scene :) My painting application varies with each subject that I convey on canvas. This Arizona canyon scene is requiring my layering technique of continuous brush strokes of color. It's takes time but it's worth it. When I paint landscapes they take me into their special moment in time.....
